My Pets

My tadpole is called Tiny. He's really fast. He may be the youngest  but he's really the oldest because he looks most like a frog because he has... front legs.  He's got patterns and big legs like trees and he's our first tadpole to have front legs! He's a really good swimmer. He likes playing hide-and-seek. He likes me and I like him.

Kete

We have made kete's which is the maori name for bags. We used warp and weft, under and over to weave the card to make our bags. We dyed the bags the colour of flax to make them look real and then we decorated them with feathers and shells. We plaited the handle. We think they look fantastic.

In the holidays Mum, Mia and I went down to our swimming hole. It was really really cold so  just to get used to it  we mostly just walked around the actual swimming hole itself. Then after a while I got bored so I decided to actually go swimming. So first I went for a really small length and then I did it again, then medium length and then I went right over our swimming hole. Since the current was really strong on the last to I already lots of struggle good thing it was really calm.
